NHL fans across North America patiently wait for their stars get back on the ice, guys like Evgeni Malkin are not missing a beat.
Playing in the KHL for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Malkin has racked up 19 goals and 40 assists in just 35 games with a plus-19 rating.
In fact, in his last nine games to close out 2012, Malkin posted seven goals and 18 assists for a total of 25 points to go along with a plus-15 rating. Statistics courtesy of KHL.ru.
Malkin is just four points back of Metallurg teammate Sergei Mozyakin for the KHL league-lead, who also leads the KHL in goals with 28.
