NHL is starting the Penguins’ season off with a bang by pairing the team with their cross-state rival for the season opener. If you are a Pens fan like me, you are trying to forget that the Flyers made it to the finals while we were eliminated by the “fairy tale” Canadiens during the second round.
The final Pens game of the 2009-2010 postseason was overly disappointing to watch. From the beginning seconds after the puck dropped, the team failed to set a winning mood for the game and it was almost over before it even began. It was a case of trying too hard and losing their Cup winning flow from the year before.
Working on getting a new flow running with the new Pens players will be a major focus in training ...
