2013 NHL regular season will get underway Saturday afternoon and include 13 games throughout opening day.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will take the ice on Saturday to open their season against the hated in-state rival Philadelphia Flyers.

If everything goes according to plan, it should be a season that ends with the Pens lifting the prestigious Stanley Cup. With one of the better goaltenders in the league and the most intimidating offensive attack in the NHL, the 2013 Penguins have to be considered the early favorites.

Sidney Crosby is healthy right now and Evgeni Malkin is already playing in midseason form, as he filled the NHL lockout by playing overseas in the KHL.
