Pittsburgh Penguins are on top of the hockey world right now, but the team’s fans held their collective breath when superstar Sidney Crosby suffered a scary moment when Brooks Orpik's slap shot hit him in the face.
The incident occurred right at the start of the first period, and Crosby did not return to the ice. Pittsburgh was still able to record a 2-0 victory to earn its 15th consecutive win—just two shy of the NHL record.
As the video shows, Crosby has had poor luck against the Islanders. About a year ago against New York, the puck struck him in the face. And just last month, a similarly painful incident took place in a game with the Isles.
But this recent knock was the worst of the bunch.
